Office & Desk Chair Rental in Korea for Foreigners | From ₩5,500/mo
The chair is the piece people put off. A furnished officetel usually comes with a desk of some kind and almost never with a chair worth sitting in for eight hours, so the first weeks get done from a dining chair or the edge of the bed, and the back complains around week three. Buying a proper ergonomic chair in Korea means a serious one-off outlay for something you cannot fit into a suitcase when the contract ends, and secondhand resale of a used chair is slow and awkward. Renting by the month covers the same need for the length of your stay, and it pairs with the desk you may already be looking at. There are 23 chairs available to rent right now, from ₩5,500 a month, with no large deposit. SETKORA is a rental broker, not the contracting party — you apply in your own language, one of 13, and we handle the Korean-language process with the rental company.

Frequently asked questions
Can foreigners rent furniture like an office chair in Korea?
Usually yes, though each rental company sets its own conditions rather than following one national rule. Most ask for an ARC and a Korean bank account or card in your own name, and some consider how much of your stay is left. Furniture rentals are also frequently taken under a company name for offices, which is handled differently from a personal contract. Confirm which applies to you during consultation.
Is delivery and assembly included?
It depends on the listing and the rental company, so check rather than assume. The practical detail worth raising early is access: many Korean villa buildings have no lift and narrow stair turns, and a boxed chair plus a delivery crew needs to get up them. Tell us the building type and floor during consultation and we will pass it to the rental company before a delivery date is fixed.
Mesh or leather — which suits a Korean flat?
Summer decides this for most people. Korean summers run hot and humid, and a leather or fabric-padded seat holds heat against you in a way a mesh back and seat do not, which is why mesh dominates the ergonomic range here. Leather and cushioned chairs are more comfortable in winter and generally look better in a living room. If the chair will sit in an ondol-heated room where you also work, mesh is the safer year-round choice.
What if I move house or leave Korea before the term ends?
Moving within Korea is normally just an address change you report to the rental company. Ending early is the part to plan for: the contract length and any early-termination charge are set by each rental company, and SETKORA is not the contracting party. If your departure date is already fixed, raise it during consultation before you sign.
SETKORA is a rental broker (통신판매중개자), not the contracting party. Prices shown assume a contract term; where noted, a card-spending condition applies. Final terms are confirmed during consultation.
