How much will your Korean electricity bill be?

Enter the kWh figure from your bill and this tool estimates the charge. Household electricity in Korea uses a progressive tariff: cross a usage threshold and the unit price jumps sharply. So it also shows which tier you are currently in and how many kWh remain before the next one. No sign-up, no personal details.

Tariff as of: 2026-08

Base charge + energy charge + climate charge + fuel adjustment, plus 10% VAT and the 2.7% electricity industry fund. Based on the low-voltage residential tariff — apartments supplied at high voltage pay less than this.

Frequently asked

I live in an apartment — why is my real bill lower?

Most apartments are supplied at high voltage, which carries lower unit prices than low voltage. This calculator uses the low-voltage tariff, so an apartment bill coming in below the estimate is expected.

Are welfare or large-family discounts included?

No. This calculator applies the standard tariff only. Welfare discounts, multi-child and newborn discounts, and the TV licence fee are all excluded.

Setting up a home in Korea?Rent a water purifier, fridge or washer monthly instead of buying. We handle the Korean-language contract and installation, and we talk to you in your language.

This tool produces a reference estimate from published tariffs. Your actual bill depends on the supply type (low or high voltage), any discounts, the meter reading period, and quarterly rate changes. Confirm the exact amount at KEPCO ON (online.kepco.co.kr) or by calling 123.
