Microwave or convection oven — which one do I need?

It is larger, heavier and draws more power, so decide by how you actually cook.

Both types sit on the counter: no plumbing work, just a free outlet and clearance around the vents. One-room counters are narrow, so measure width, depth and height and leave a few centimetres at the back and sides.
