Why rent by the month when Ttareungi and other public bikes exist?
They answer different questions. A monthly rental suits the person who makes the same trip every day: no hunting for a dock, your saddle height and phone mount stay exactly as you set them, and you can choose an e-bike, which public fleets almost never offer.
Do I need a licence to ride an electric bike in Korea?
It depends on the type. Pedal-assist (PAS) models, where the motor cuts out at around 25 km/h and the weight stays under the legal limit, are treated as bicycles and may use bike lanes and riverside paths; throttle-driven models fall into a motorised category that requires a licence. What if I move house or leave Korea before the term ends?
Moving within Korea is normally just an address change you report to the rental company.
